Yeah, thought I'd check in and see what you fuckers were up to. Seems like a few familiar faces remain, but most of the old guard are gone. Shame. I still talk to Ian and Padre, if he's not still active. Not sure what happened to Priz, Tovarisch, and the rest. Anyway, thought I'd say hi, I might haunt the place for the next few days, see if anything's going on.

Hey IRD, good to see an oldy pop back up.
Padre is still active and Tova pops in from time to time, although he passed the news team off to 23skidoo.
Priz left the NMC altogether sadly, I do believe he's hanging with the Malton Marshals now.
Sir Fred is still around, but the old faces are fading away these days.
Makes me miss the old days back when I first joined up and was considered one of the new guys. Now I feel like a relic myself sometimes.

*sighs*
Seems like it's time for the next generation in Urban Dead, huh?

*sighs* Seems like it's time for the next generation in Urban Dead, huh? Indeed, makes me feel old. But I imagine I'll be around and kicking for awhile yet showing the youngsters how it's done.

I miss when UD was brand new, and I was a high school senior playing during study hall. Shit, now I even feel old in Nexus War, the "new" game for me. What's been going on with me.....single again, getting older, trying to find a steady job, in school, not sure what I wanna do with my life. Best friend (Like my brother, but closer) just got a really good job, but it's in British Columbia, so he'll probably be moving 3000 miles away, so that's quite confusing. Kids, getting older sucks.

Tch. Tell me about it. My last year in high school. Can't believe 17 1/12 years of my life has already passed. And what have I got to show for it?

I miss high school, enjoy your last year. Getting older does have it's share of trials, I'm trying to figure out what I'd like to do with myself too at the moment. More school seems like as good a choice as any right now. Bah, but we all sound like old fogies.

I ran into a friend from high school I haven't seen since I graduated two years ago recently. The way we talk, we feel so old. I get up every morning, drink coffee, read the paper (Mainly because I've written for it), I feel like my dad. Enjoy your high school years, Axe. It's full of drama, long classes, girl trouble, miserable teachers, sleep deprivation, paper work...but you get into the real world and go to college, and you find out it's all pretty much the same, except you need a job, rent, and have to pay taxes, AND you start losing your youth eventually. Cherish your last year of high school, I certainly wish I did. It's also funny that from the beginning of my senior year until now, UD has been there, even if I don't play anymore. On a side note, I logged in recently to fool around and saw the update with Flesh Rot, and bought it on my zombie...it kinda sucks.

heh... my Senior year was a blur. I was attending high school and junior college, as well as working nights as an EMT. I honestly don't remember it at all. It's merely a whirl of fatigue, caffeine, and excessive alcohol (and various other substances) on my days off.
I'm honestly confused as to how I survived.

Yeah, my senior year started out pretty promising in regards to hanging out and having fun, but got kinda boring for a while there. But there were good times and I miss it, really. Kinda sucks not having people right there at all times, and losing touch with a lot of people or having trouble just hanging out with even your close friends.
Anyway, I have a story.
This doctor told his patient, "I have bad news, and worse news. The bad news is you have 24 hours to live."
The patient replies, "Oh no! That's terrible! How can it get any worse than that!?"
The doctor says, "Well...I've been trying to contact you since yesterday!"

IRD, if you ever come up to B.C. to visit the aformentioned friend, let me know, and we can hit the casinos or something. Email me or something, you have my AIM. I'm in the "peace region", from north from Prince George to the Yukon, and east to Edmonton in Alberta, and if he's got a trades job, he's working here someplace. It would be kinda cool to meet a few of you guys, since I've known some of you longer than some of my friends.
Priz Updates:
I'm not even with the Marshals that often anymore. RL and stuff. I don't really talk to anyone from here, since I don't use AOL for anything but email. Me and Ian do the MSN thing occasionally, and I used to talk to Hannah alot, if anyone remembers her.
I spent the summer on a bit of a multi-substance bender which made a mess of things, friends, school, whatever. It's still going on, actually (I'm drunk as I write, lawlz), but rarely. I sold my place, and I'm living with this girl I met at the mall, where I do security (being paid to do nothing is kinda interesting).
Axe, enjoy the last year of school. I was supposed to be done a year back, but missed a few credits, and decided to say fuck it and go to work. Life's not bad in any way, mind you, but I do miss being able to dick around and not suffer from it at all XD. Geeze, I'm just about 19, but I sound like I'm 59.
But you guys kinda do too, so I suppose that's ok.

Yeah, I'm not sure if he's gonna get the job now, things are kinda up in the air, since he hasn't heard back from the guy. But yeah, if he gets it and I visit, we can tear up the casinos while Ian's back in Wales...presumably fucking a turkey.
Actually, I still talk to Ian quite a bit via FaceBook, and yeah, I'm probably one of three people here who remembers Hannah...how is Hannah?
As for work and everything, I dunno. Writing for people I find on Craig's List pays fuck all, and it's not exactly consistent, either. Hopefully college pays off in the end, but shit's kinda uncertain now. During my last year of high school, I wanted to spend some time traveling the world and exploring different cultures, so that kinda fell through.
Heh, being a security guard must be pretty sweet, Priz. I used to bounce earlier this year at this club nearby, and things got pretty rowdy. After realizing constantly brawling with drunken douchebags, getting maced, and picking broken glass out of my skin wasn't worth $15 an hour, I decided to seek greener pastures. I'm just still seeking them...
Actually, speaking of which, like 2000 people gathered around this Wal Mart in New York for the 5 am opening on Black Friday. The fuckers broke the door down and trampled one of the employees to death, and trampled a few other employees that tried to help the guy, then got pissy when everyone was told to leave the store because they killed a guy. Just a little side thing there.

Wal Mart? I heard of that accident. Didn't they close down the store or something?

Yeah, people can just be pricks. Last year, this woman tried so hard to win a Wii from this radio contest, the objective was to drink a bunch of water and hold your piss longer than everyone else. She drank wayyyyy too much water and died from electrolyte poisoning. It's ridiculous what people will do to get a fucking video game these days.
Anyway, yeah. I need a real job pretty badly. But the newspaper won't take me on, I only ever get to do little tidbits like once a month or so. Bastards...
