I know it sounds crazy, but we need someone to make sure this holds, and to warn you guys if they don't. I'll watch them tonight, and catch up on sleep in the morning."
He sips his scotch slowly, savouring the peaty, if bland, flavour of the Glenfidditch. With a deep sense of melancholy he realizes that his bottle will soon be empty. The are a few clubs within several blocks of the cinema, but he doubted they had any scotch nicer than Ballantine, if anything. He resolved to check it on the morrow, and maybe stop by the glass door in the afternoon.
"I'd suggest you guys stay upstairs, though our Slavic friend here is in no shape to do anything but power puke for a few minutes. I'll watch over him until he's sober enough to climb, then help him up the stairs."

Priz shruggs.
"It's your life."
He looks over at the massive damage to the theater doors.
"Good luck finding something to barricade that off with. With all the noise we've been making, we should have some company pretty soon."
He walks over to the pile of drinks pulled out of the machine, and picks up an aged bottle of no-name cola.
"However," he continues, cracking the suprisingly intact seal with a quick twist, "It would be really nice to be able to use the bathrooms down here again. The upstairs lacks any sort of plumbing beyond a metal sink in one of the utility rooms, not that the plumbing is working with the power out. Going in a bucket is getting a little old."
He takes a drink, not at all enjoying the rancid soft-drink.
"Plus, emptying the bucket off the roof makes me uneasy. We could attract alot of attention like that. Why don't we work on blocking the stairs tonight, and tomorrow, clean up the lobby here a bit."
Thinking, he adds, "I personally am not comfortable with the idea of going out there in the dark to find supplies at the moment."

Mags gives the Cameron a slightly surprised look. "Yeah, I was at this bar a while. Lots of nice people there, but there seemed to be all kinds of weird things going on constantly. I wouldn't mind getting that place back running, though I suppose that'll have to wait quite some time..."
He walks rock back and forth from his toes to his heals for a while. It seems to relax him a bit.
"If we had more stuff to barricade the front with, this place would be pretty safe. Not that anything in this city can be safe, but you get the idea. We could always try and tear out a few seats from the theater, or maybe get projector down here to block it up a bit more... Though the seats wont do much on their own, and a projector might be too heavy to get here." He sits down on the floor, legs crossed. "You guys have been here a lot longer than us two, so you should know what we can use to block it up a bit more. Anything come to mind?"

"That's out of the question, friend. Night time is far too dark to get around safely."

"Well, the stairs should definatly be our priority then."
Cam scratches his head, thinking.
"Then, tomorrow, we could maybe knock out the walls of one of the projectionst rooms, and use the materials to fix up the main entrance here. I think we could also pull apart the bathroom stalls, if you guys don't mind the loss of privacy. Providing we ever get the water working again in here, that is."
Priz glances towards the entrance.
"I'm not sure how we'd attach them all together though. It's not like we can just nail the metal to something."

"If we take the time to get the generator up and running now we could maybe grind up old drywall and mix it with water from the taps to try and cement everything together. It's a stretch, but it's worth a shot."

Magatsu light up, and gets up from the floor, looking a bit excited. "Good ideas! If we could use some homemade cement, and some bricks or lumps of concrete to make a low wall, we could always place the metal from the bathroom stalls as the main part of the barricade, with the homemade wall behind. Either way, maybe we should start thinking about getting upstairs now... We should be safe unless a small horde shows up, in which case they could pile up and climb on each other to get up the stairs."

"A small horde is what we have in the Sertin building... I'm beginning to rethink my first estimate... there were about a dozen on the roof, but there were definitely more just moping about inside. Probably more than were actually on the roof. Fortunately, we've been quiet enough that I doubt they'll come looking."

"Well, whatever we decide, all we need to do is completely seal the ground floor, and we'll be pretty safe unless a pretty big group shows up. We can use the fire escape to get ourselves in and out. We're gonna need quite a few parts for that generator, though, in fact, we might be better off finding a new one."

Alex came to with a start. He had nodded off during the night, but he was still in one piece, so he wasn't overly bothered by it. He made a mental note to ask for another person to help though, company would help keep eachother awake. He looked over fondly at the drunken news team member, who was sprawled out by the wall. His scotch glass was still in his hand, but was regrettably empty. It seemed no zombies had attacked during the night. He decided he would let the others sleep, and keep quiet until they came downstairs. At least for a little while.

Cameron looks over at the fellow who's just awoken, and with a smile, goes over to help him up.
"About time someone else got up. That Asian guy wandered up stairs a few hours ago, and with you passing out there, I've had a long night of watching the door."
Cam nods his head over towards the still un-barricaded entrance, and throws it a look of displeasure.
"We should probably attend to that pretty soon. One of them came pretty close to the theater, and he was a devil to get rid of without making a bunch of noise." Cam smiles again, and adds "I didn't feel like risking attracting more of them, what with you guys all being drunk and everything."

Alex tries to clear his head, but his mouth feels like a sponge had been stuck inside it all night and removed just prior to awakening, and his eyes are having trouble focusing.
"Yeah, I'm gonna need some quiet time I think, and a lot of water, before I can be of much use. I can't imagine trying to take out a zombie without making noise. I either fight them or avoid them. Check on the Asian I guess, see if he feels up to doing any work, and see if you can find that medic. I'm gonna find something non-alcoholic to drink and take a few deep breaths."

As on cue, Magatsu comes falling down where there used to be a stair to the second floor. He hits the floor with a light thud, but mostly manages to dampen the fall with his arms and legs. "Well, that a new substitute for coffee I have to remember..." He bounces to his feet, apparently feeling a lot better today than yesterday. "So, what's going on down here? Are we gonna fortify those doors anytime soon?"

"We we're just about to start."
He turns to Cam.
"You've been here longest, where should we start. I'm thinking the crumbliest drywall first, rather than just the biggest supply. It'll be a bitch if we get going and run out of energy."

PFC looks through his binoculars. The numerous people in Beacham have had him vexed for a few days now. He followed the Japanese looking fellow to the spot, and made it his mission to recon them, document behavior. He had to kill a few zeds to get there, but he eyed them through an apartment building about 2 blocks east. He was going to report the spot to military command for an airstrike, zeds outnumbering human about 4 to 1. But he was running out of supplies, not to mention his radio was also cutting out. He sighed, and took a long drink from his Monster energy drink. "Maybe it's not to late for a visit."
sry if i was a dick to throw myself in. thought a little extra drama would help.
