I don't know, I've never taped her to hear what shes sounds like, but it's not like it's completely non-stop when I've heard her freaking out. And her voice is very high-pitched most of the time, she's 3/4 Samoyed and 1/4 Alaskan Husky, and Sammys have one of the loudest barks of all dogs, so that they can be heard across the vast arctic tundra of Siberia.

And yes, she did use me as a makeshift scratching post last night, when I had cats they did the same thing.
