And i identified Lady Sovereign and MIA amongst the songs you counted, what was the others?
I know about a few as well, the vietnam war "Uncommon Valor: A Vietnam Story" and the sterotypical hip hop image "Dance with the Devil", how about love and loss? "You never know"
Then there's guys like Lupe Fiasco that only sings/raps about things getting better. And Nujabes, the only one non-American I've counted so far (Japanese) who is a little bit like Lupe, but uses more poetic lyrics mostly, or just straight instrumental sometimes...
