Firefly is awesome. The movie had some good stuff, but it also had a lot of annoying things, too, but that's Hollywood, I suppose. They made a Serenity RPG that my wife is running on Sunday nights. We're all enjoying the game, but whoever wrote the mechanics needs to be dragged out in the street and left for the Reavers.
We've had to house rule so many things simply to keep the rules from being alternately broken and stupid. The only reason it feels at all like the Firefly universe is because the GM and all the players loved the show and ignore all the mechanical flaws of the game that make it run completely contrary to the way the show feels and the way the rulebook *claims* it should make the game like.
