I'm pretty sure you were thinking of the Glock, since it raised a big controversy when it came out.
And seeing as how it's considered to be one of the most lightweight handguns available, and is still made out of 80% metal, I'd say polymer guns are a no. Stick with ceramic knives, not only do they cut better, but they are impossible to detect on the metal detector.
