Even then, the copies wouldn't remember (as in having the memory of his death) that he had died somewhere nor the stuff prior to his death. There would be changes in the ideas/"to-do list" of the time traveller each time he died. He'd be "inmortal", but he wouldn't be "himself", if you understand what I mean.
