Regarding free will. Repeat: it is a non-issue. There is no empirical way to decide one way or the other, and of no consequence whether it is one way or the other. However, it is an issue for people seeking God. They appear to enjoy(?) dissecting it, at least judging by the amount of energy they devote to it.
