well my objections to this technical/phisical: 1-When HG Builds his machine he cant take the risk to change the past becouse any change, as small as it can seen can end up preventing him from existing, or from having the neccesary knowledge/skills to build the time machine in the first place. So the past is inmutable to him. 2- His only option is to travel foward, to the future, and therefore he cant know before hand what he will find, and that means a lot of chances of finding death due to harsh envyromental conditions, or random events before he can take the life elixir or anything, leaving only a small chance of him reaching imortally logical 1-Even if he reaches inmortallity he is still human, and that means his psycollogy is human, and this is the "deal braker" he is bound to make mistakes (And I mean a mistake he cant fix either becouse of death, since his imortality wont be complete or by losing or breaking his time machine in a situation where he cant repair it or build another), let his emotions get the best of him (love-hate-lust-anger-greed), his moral would get in the way of some of the things he has to do, and finally as every other human being, he would want to be happy, do the things he like, be with the person he loves, etc. so he would eventually get tired or bored You spelled psychology wrong...
