I'd heard of that, surprisingly,
that article lists an idea that I swear the army must have stolen from me, inoculating the army with bee pheromones and unleashing swarms of bees on them. In one of my books, the eminent Padre Romero does the same thing with fire ants.
The possibility of any chemical aphrodisiac completely overwhelming the willpower of a human being seems slightly implausible to me, at least with today's technology. then again, I've been wrong before.
If I wanted to cut a hole in the bottom of military morale, I'd bury LRAD like devices in the sand and turn 'em on at night...goodbye sleep, hello 12 hours at night combing the desert for half-a-dozen noisemakers.
Predictably, I use this trick in one of my stories as well
