As the burger was slid in front of Murray he examined it for a second, shrugged and thought, Not bad, especially considering what normally passes for food nowadays. He picked up the burger and took a bite. "Thanks. Oh, and give these," a pack of cigarettes slid across the bar, "to ValJohns for a room."
Turning back to Lachryma Murray then said, "Some people know that a pack of smokes are more valuable than a few minutes of alcohol induced disappointment. Though I will take the rain check on the rat."
