My comments were merely based on running the numbers, and shouldn't be taken as any kind of ... whatever. We don't kill people instantly because we're uber-bad-ass ... if Vito walked into Whippey and all 90ish survivors in there simultaneously cut loose, I'd be headshot before I could say "Grab mah manbagz, harmanz!"
... I wonder what happens if a zombie gets headshot more than once simultaneously. I've seen 9 of us kill the same guy all at once ... I wonder if a zombie can sustain multiple headshots. Probably not.
Likewise, the observation that Whippey will probably make it is just doing the math. If it sounded condescending, it was not intended that way at all - you must understand that no building has ever repelled an attack by us, other than Ackland Mall the very first night of our existence, and for a multitude of reasons that doesn't really count. No other building has ever been able to throw us out once we got in. Malls might linger til the following day, but once we're in, it's just a matter of how long it takes for all the humans to die or flee. So it disappoints me that we (probably, if we do I'll be the first to say it's a shock) won't keep that streak going because of such a poor turnout.
I mean, no offense intended to the defenders whatsoever, but when we bring 100+, we clear 80-ish with ease. Not to say we kill them all, but you can't keep the manpower up long enough to kill us all. For that matter we've done it with 75.
But 30 to 40 is just a weak turnout. Hopefully everyone will be well-rested tomorrow and we can make a better run at something.
Anyway ... if I make a pronouncement that sounds like I'm being haughty, please consider that I've probably already done the math in my head and am simply playing the odds.
