Murray grabbed the apple, tried to shine it on what was left of his deep blue dress shirt and t-shirt and took a quick bite. "Thanks." He said. "It'll help fight scurvy."
As he heard Lachryma talk about kiwis he couldn't help but think of a crude joke, but thought better than to say it. Someone else will say it anyway, he thought.
As he finished up the apple he said, "I'll check out the cades in back and then I'm probably gonna crash for the night."
