The chatter was wrong, and I free ran right through the Big Bash on my way to Ackland. Rather than run back the other way to meet it head on, I've opted to join the rebuilding efforts following in the Big Bash's wake.
I've emptied, repaired, and barricaded a couple buildings in Barrville, so far. Hopefully, my supplies will last until I recapture an actual resource building. Ultimately, I have my sights set on either Nichols or the Blackmore - whichever requires me to solo fewer zeds.
