Blackmore I, RRF had shacknews's help
Blackmore II, was pretty much RRF (with minions of the apocalyspe and TSO)
As for shacknews tactics, the RRF has their own tactics (striketeams, different times of day and dirty SOB's pking people)
You are correct in saying we werent in nichols when it fell.
