on a more pratical note, how am I to do this? Typically, a shortened catholic wedding goes something like this:
1: rattle off the "dearly beloved bit", and explain the nature of marrage 2:I ask who is presenting the woman 3:someone presents you (he says "i do" or "her family and friends gathered here today do") 4:Another brief explaination of marrage 5: "Do you [husband]..." 6: "do you [wife]" 7: I bless the rings 8: you exchange them 9: "I now pronounce you man and wife"
Technically, if anyone wants to run in with one of those dramatic "I object" moments, that part comes at step 1, well before the tense moment you see in most drama's...very sad, how reality doesn't mirror television. At any rate, if you'd like me to omit any part, say so.
I also think that it might be best to coordinate this over IRC or some such, I also also regret to inform you that I can't find a reliable translation of the typical wedding vows into latin, and my ability to translate this text has been severly hampered by some real life issues...so I'll have to do it in english...I think me and father thompson will be switching off parts...
