Yeah, to actually step out of that character for a minute (which feels nice, by the way), I really am just trying to stick to the drug-addled, not-quite-with-it Mitch character I've been building up. That's sort of the point. You know -- stoner talk, getting pathetically upset and making no real point in the argument, not really having much ability to get anything done. That's the character, dude. In fact, the entire argument above was really me just seeing how many ridiculous points I could fail to make properly while still maintaining some semblance of thinking I'm right. It's an argument you were supposed to win. I figured you were playing along.
As my sense of humor is actually really different from Mitch's, the VERY rare jokes I actually tell are his, since I don't want to presume that I can somehow effectively channel him for stand-up purposes. For the most part, he's just the Shaggy in our great big Mystery Machine, and I'm trying to play that part to the hilt.
So... seriously. Mitch is a bit of a bonehead. Drugs, death, and a lack of understanding for his surroundings (remember back when he kept referring to zombies as "those guys out there"?) kind add up to his missing the point a lot.
Sorry if that's truly, actively pissing you off, AH. I've just sort of been playing Mitch as not liking you. If it's getting on your nerves, I'll stop -- I'm not out to drive you completely insane...
