Maybe if you refer to "IT" as "THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" Then it would make sense...
For example...
"Eh, I found the zombie ravaged city of Malton circa August 2005, I was talking to some of my friends online and they were fighting to the death, so I fucked around with the idea of glorious battle, I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I stopped for a while, then when confronted by absolute boredom and the certainty of death in study hall a couple of months later, I gave it another shot and got into it."
