I rather like that one too, my girlfriend and I play it alot for some reason.
This one does have one of those guns that kicks so much ass it makes it boring though. Defensive mode is my favorite, since it's a little harder than survival, but not stupidly easy.
An abbreviated walk-through:
1. Shoot zombies with your piece of crap starting gun untill you can afford the FAMAS. One or two zombies might get to your base, but they shouldn't.
2. Buy the FAMAS.
3. Use the FAMAS untill you can afford the H&K machine gun.
3.5. Somtime around here, you should be able to afford the Bloodlust upgrade. Get it.
4. Even on hard, this should be the last time anything touches you or your base.
5. Upgrade ammo capacity, reload rate, damage, and whever else.
6. Buy the big vulcan gun.
7. You win.
