I think you usually do need to, you know, let the NMC KNOW you are joining it though... Then again, I haven't seen anyone from the Elorian Lancers around here since like, 2007...
By the way, it's sort of off topic, but I'm wondering where your offical stance on PKing is.
Here, you make a wide, rather untrue generalization about how much you dislike them:
PK'ers are cowardly bastards, hiding behind a Dual Nature tag makes it worse.

You express dislike for people working against PKers.
Pking is a legit way to play the game, Kevan wouldn't have allowed other players to attack you if he didn't want the game to be played that way.
The RG and the demon tool combine to seriously piss off a bunch of PKers who enjoy playing the game.
IMO if someone takes you out, you take them out. None of this going to report the guy so someone else can clear them out. Thats just cowardly.
I am not a PKer but I really do sympathise with them, its a game, its suuposed to be fun, getting put on some database to be hunted by you "Bounty Hunters" is not fun.
