This is exactly why I drink all my booze as soon as I get my hands on it. No one can take it away, and I dedicate my drinking to the great weaseler, so it also serves as a prayer for victory and swift death to my enemies.
In fact, I sometimes act as the Patron of Fiery Flasks for Ranger who have been sober for over 23 hours. Though I need some spare booze to do that, and I usually drink it up before I can answer to the calls of the dry throats... But I do my best, no more, no less.
