I agree bounty hunting is a waste of time, but it's also a lot more fun than shooting at zombies, and it seems like that's what counts in a game. I like the aspect of at least having to put a little effort into finding a target, though it's not as hard as it used to be, at least not with the DEM. And if you look at it, even bothering with the zombies at all is sort of a waste of time too, since they just get back up anyway 
Not that PKing is any less fun, it's just a different sort. You can be alot more creative with your killings when you can shoot at anyone you want.
I personally play both, and don't think either group as a whole is more fun or more well-mannered. There's plenty of assholes in both camps.
