I shambled as far as Shackleville in the hopes of getting a quicker revive, and stumbled upon the body of Sam Cork! It seems I'm on the right track.
Seriously, I can't believe I used up nearly all my inventory. I'm down to the bare essentials: my fire axe, DNA extractor, toolbox, mobile phone, and poetry book.
