Meanwhile, in the warehouse, there is silence, the construction finished. The gentle throb of the generator increases in volume, as the lights dim and go out. The generator labors on, coughing and sputtering as it attempts to output several times its rated capacity. Suddenly, there is a boom as the pumps catch, and the damping rods are drawn back. Several hundred volts backfeed into the generator, which promptly detonates in a cloud of electrical sparks, before it is doused with an extinguisher. A breaker closes, and there is a loud humming, and electrical discharge crackles around the poles as electricity flows through the power lines of Malton for the first time in several years. The breakers in most buildings flip due to the power surge, but not the ones in the Elbow Room, which were modified by Sarpek a few days ago. Audible above the hum and roar of the micro-reactor is a yell of delight as the cooling tower begins to let off steam. "It WORKS!"
