Anyways, I might as well double post while I say this sicne this thread is all about spamming. I'm trying to learn 4, count 'em, 4 instruments at the same time without the help of anyone. Do it yourself books are allowed for chords and such but I'm letting my strumming technique just develop on its own.
1-Guitar, so far so good... I've pretty much just been going through my i-pod and playing the easy guitar parts of the songs I like. I've got "Big Rock Candy Mountains" from "O, brother, where art though" down melodically, just working on the chords now.
2- Banjo, going okayish. The only banjo music I have on my i-pod is really fast and is hard to keep up with, but a few songs by the Soggy Bottom Boys I can kinda slightly play a similar tune on the banjo.
3-Mandolin, um...Tried it and found that I like the banjo and guitar better, but I have t stick with it
4- Fiddle, haven't figured out how to even make a noise out of it that doesn't sound like I'm strangling my cat. My dog tried to commit suicide after my last attempt.
