I dunno, if they were cleaned and oiled before they were locked up and haven't been knocked around too much they should be ready for action. And there's no such thing as "more deadly." All guns are deadly, the measure is how experienced the hands they're in are. A rimfire .22 (a few steps above BB) is probably more deadly in my hands than a .50 armor piercer (the strongest round I can think of off hand) in yours, by what I can tell from your firearms experience.
