Dan is slowly returning to sobriety. The hallucinations are getting less vivid, and he recognizes them for what they are rather than perceiving them as reality. He pours himself a heavy slug of vodka and his glass winks at him before he downs the contents. He places the glass back on the table next to the bottle and the two objects begin to cuddle. It hasn't yet dawned on him that the terminator is awake again.
