Dan awakens from a drunken nap, and sees the mess caused by the new arrivals and the fight.
"Jesus, did a horde of zombies come through here while I was taking the little death?"
He pulls a paper packet out of his bag and tears it open, pouring the contents into his canteen and shaking it.
"It's like the gatorade mix powder," he explains.
"Electrolytes and all that shit. It gets rid of hangovers pretty damn quick."
He drinks deeply from his canteen and turns down the glass of alcohol offered to him.
