Awesome guys. I thought most of y'all were heading off elsewhere, but I'm glad to know I was mistaken.
Mean to get back over here sooner, but I had an unusually busy weekend (especially for a guy that doesn't like to do stuff).
Like I just told Redwave in response to his PM (no lookies, Don!)
Firstly, we never bother with the Mall. They're too hard to defend, especially if our NT's are taken. So we pile everybody into Hall NT and defend it for all we're worth in order to support the victims of any Mall breaks. Don, I'm sure knows this, but probably won't be able to get all the ferals to skip the mall and head straight for us.
So get whoever you've got coming into Hall NT. As you know, the Bash is in Gibsonton, so they'll either come here or head towards Dulston. If they do, we'll be redeploying to help them out (last we discussed, anyway).
Now...(and I believe this may have been previously discussed, but it bears repeating)...
With the new updates, we believe that once more than, say, 10 zeds get inside, active FAKing is the best course of action (as opposed to wasting countless AP trying to cade, or wasting AP and ammo trying to kill them as more and more just pile in after them).
With 1 AP and 1 FAK, we can undo the damage that can realistically take them 6 or 7 AP to inflict. And a FAK never fails. So once more than 10 zeds get inside, just keep refreshing and keeping an eye on who's getting attacked and FAK them after every couple of hits they receive. They'll AP out fast this way and then the people left with AP and bullets can go to work cleaning them out.
I saw TMS and Tikhom Medical use this tactic against the Bash down in Lockettside, and tried it myself not long ago when the MoB was sieging CCPD...it works great and frustrates the hell out of the zeds.
Active FAKing is the only thing right now that can swing the battle of AP back into our favor. I'm packing 22 of them right now, myself.
Thanks a mil for coming and we'll see y'all at Hall NT!
Oh for any who might be unaware...Santlerville and the Beavers use 26.06 radio frequency and all revives take place at St. Emelia's Church (inside, when possible). While there, make sure to check the transmitter's frequency before broadcasting, though...we've had griefers changing them for months.
