Through out our lives, we meet thousands of people. Most are forgotten, a few affect us in ways that will forever change our lives, but some, some bring us joy in little, momentary ways that are savored even though they might not cherished. Some people are friends that stick around, year after year. We may not say good bye every time we leave. We may not give them a hug every time we part, but they know why. It's because that's not the type of friend they are. They are the friends who are our friends when we want them to be, are our friends when, sometimes, we need them to be. They don't ask anything more in return, because they know we don't ask anything more in return from them. But no matter, because they are our friends. We love them, immensely, even if we never say it. And we know that they love us.
Winka was always there for everyone, not just Rangers, or members of the NMC. She was there for every person who played the game or came on the forums. Winka was everyone's friend. It is odd to think that when I come back here after long periods of absence that I won't see her posts anymore. It is odder still to realize that this is affecting me, and all of us, so greatly for someone many of us had never even seen face to face. But we all feel the loss because we knew winka as, well, winka. And winka was one of the most wonderful people any of us ever met in Malton. So a glass of beer for 2win and a glass of scotch for winkalt. You will be missed.

You know what, damn it? Winka wouldn't want us sitting around, not spamming on her account. It's up to us to produce that thousand posts for her! As well as the stupid crap most of us come up with on her own. Let's hit a million for Winka. And we can start with something appropriate: a quote from Aeschylus, given by RFK at his brother's funeral. "‘In our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God."

Lord knows I say some stupid stuff. But I always felt good when it got her to laugh.

Dear Quartly Study Group,
I am night haunter a member of the Gingerbread Men. In the distant past members of your group took part in the great Candyland Operation - I am wondering if you are willing and able to take part in further operations with the Gingerbread Men.
Our contact at the time was Pope Beligerent I - I do not know if this individual is still active - but It would be great to hear from you to see if you are willing to partake in some buiscuitty fun

I've put up a bit of a post but will need to tidy it up a little - my old laptop is missing a few wiki useful keys.

The page looks great. I hope everyone drops by and signs it. I will write something for the page later today. Winka had many exploits with other groups of which I am unaware, so I hope those who knew her in other guises will also post something.

Also, I'm working with Aichon in order to make the page look more presentable. Can someone tell me what the Malton Rangers' group colors are?

By request of Marcel, I have began setting up a wikipage in dedication of Winka. wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/New_Malton_Colossus/The_Winka_MemorialI need help, though. If any Rangers have any information about Winka's contributions, please help me fill out the About Winka section. This is only a basic setup. It'll need a bit of work, of course. Until then, it should be good to go for editing and posting our farewells and stuff there.

Over the next two years there will be around a thousand posts she will not make. She is the first forum friend i have ever lost and when i read your original post on her passing it really did hit me in a way i wouldn't have imagined. The d & d bit from the eulogy still cracks me up when i think of it.
