No, we're not done. I wanted two articles from the very beginning, since I was the 2nd vote against. Yet nobody else wants it. Even Jorm said for 30 seconds that it'd be okay, then he never mentioned it again...

Do you even know who Joachim Witt is? At least I'm not running around listening to "My Chemical Romance" and fawning over people that like to think their lives are hard, like most of the people in my age group do. I like German metal, you prefer American styles of music. And for the record, naming one "modern" band doesn't mean all I listen to is new age stuff.

Pft. Real men listen to AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, or Iron Maiden. Not this pansy assed modern shite. Listen to three out of those four (never got into Maiden). Here's my list of classic bands / artists (ie. whose heyday was before 1990) that everyone should be fans of... 1. The Clash (they are, after all, the only band that matters) 2. Bad Brains (they invented hardcore punk and then did speed metal [don't know if that's the proper term since there are so many aribitrary metal subgenres] better than anyone else, so that makes up for "Don't Blow Bubbles") 3. Iggy and the Stooges 4. Chuck Berry (the dirty old man of Rock 'n Roll) 5. Led Zepplin (a lot of their work [especially the most famous] is actually quite bloated, but there's at least a couple of groundbreaking songs on each of their albums) |

Never really got into them except for Stairway to Heaven. Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Dio (solo since he murdered Ozzy's Black Sabbath), Judas Priest, Quiet Riot, Van Halen, and the like are also up there. |

I don't know that I'd all Witt "German Metal". More like synthpop/new wave.
As far as Zeppelin goes, well. I can only say that one's appreciation for blues and rock and roll in general will increase dramatically by listening to them.
I should reveal, in the interests of full disclaimer, that I'm somewhat of a walking music encyclopedia.

Well, most people tend to label Witt as German metal, I've always thought otherwise, but after hearing for so many years, it just kinda grown on me. Typical case of something annoying that becomes normal. Like Paris Hilton. ;D. I was more saying I listen to G. metal in overall, not really describing Witt as metal, so were clear on that. And, because I'm an annoying prick,  You find some crazed out stuff on ED. |
