To see who the anonymous person is, simply place your mouse pointer over the word 'anonymous' and the real name will show up in your web-browser where it identifies links.

Time to smash the wiki-barricades. My question is that it was designed as basically a recruiting page? So why is it historical? If you want it completely intact, move it to a subpage of the C4NT and it'll stay intact as long as the C4NT is around and longer since the C4NT will surely go historical.
Also, I can't help but point out (puts on smug face) the bitching about how only the RRF wants to unlock it when the only ones defending it are NMC.

Murray, it is really sad to see RRF coming against one of the finest pieces of UD history. And no, I'm not talking about the clickfest to increase/decrease some integer counters, I'm talking about the piece of writing that Ron created. That piece of writing has been on the Wiki since the battle begun, has been standing the test of time since the battle ended and has ALREADY voted historical by wiki users. If you had concerns about NPOV, you should have filed them at the original voting time. Right now, it only looks like pathetic jealousy. And I am very sad I have to write that. With regard to NPOV, the only true NPOV is a log of the actual server clicks. Ask Kevan to scavenge his backups and provide the true NPOV account of the battle, and let's just post that to the Wiki. I'm sure Jorm could build a nice interface on top of it, so we can all enjoy watching the barricade counter moving from zombies to humans and viceversa. Edit: Stay classy

Don't even compare Blackmore to fine pieces of UD history. Blackmore is no where near Dia de los Muertos or DARIS or Mall Tour or The Many.
Blackmore is even lower than Candyland.

And in what way is preserving Ron's holy epic not maintained by keeping it as a subpage of the C4NT? I had no idea that it was locked for editing and considered the definitive version of the battle (I tend to ignore the wiki for weeks at a stretch and only then pay attention to my own narrow interests). And it always will be the definitive version as long as it is the one and only and locked "Battle of Blackmore" page. Should we have brought it up earlier? Probably. But (to borrow a tired cliche) two wrongs don't make a right.

Oh my God, the click worshipers. Blackmore WRITING is the best piece of UD history, NOT Blackmore clicking. Chill down and take a step back.

If there will be anything left from UD in five years from now, Ron's epic will be it.

By the way, a little memoy lane trip. IIRC, during the battle, RRF denied stubbornly that there is anything going on. From RRF POV, the Battle of Blackmore story is: <begin> </end>

Sorry. Not even Ron will be remembered in 5 yrs. Petro pwns everyone and most people know nothing about him. Ron was a great guy but nothing can save him from the sands of time.
And the article is still humorous.

Where is the link to 'Petro'? Can I read 'Petro' as a standalone entertaining piece? 'Petro' is an inside story, and will die along with the insiders.

This is just stupid, I'm sorry but it is.
I find it hilarious that all of you are getting a stick up your ass about this to begin with. But to bring it up now? After all this time? No, if anyone had a problem with this they had the chance to voice it when this originally went down. Bringing it up now is just petty.

It hasn't even been a month since it was made historical. It hasn't been that long of a time. Sure the article has been around for a while but it wasn't historical until recently.
And Petro is not an inside story. Do you even know who Petro was?

Chill out.
We've offered the people that want this gone a compromise. They didn't want it. I asked them what they want in its place. All I got was a vague promise of NPOV. What does that mean? Who will determine that? What will this new article contain?
Don't y'all have a plan to win the peace? An exit strategy? What happens after 'Mission Accomplished'?

Dude...it isn't even hard to make it NPOV. Just get rid of the humor crap.
"One day the NMC barricaded Blackmore. For over a month over 200 people slept in the NT building and held out while hundreds of zombies broke in."
Something like that. It isn't that hard.

But that's lame and-hey, Jorm is cool with having two pages, one for each side. Are you?
