DEM Blood Drive 2007

On May 14th, Marshal Max Floyd came up with the idea for a DEM endorsed blood drive. After a few days of debates, it was decided that the idea should go ahead. (Although it's technically not "Officially" endorsed unless it goes through a vote with the higher ups- Thanks for pointing this out, Ashate.)

The blood drive starts June 1st at 0:00:00 GMT, and will close on June 30th at 23:59:59 GMT. Over the month, the objective is to get over 10 liters of blood.

The main goal of the project is to get people to donate blood. The stuff has a short shelf life, so the more collected, the better off everybody will be.

So far, one donation has come in. The goal is to get 10 liters of blood donated through out the month of June, (Max Floyd's donation counted for the sake of filling in the first square, and because 1 350 liters counts for something.)

To track progress, you can use the DEM Blood-o-Meter^© and of course the obligatory template, which can be added to your wiki user page by typing in {{Blood}}

Okay...

I should have clarified, while it is endorsed by the DEM, just like river tactics, the UBP and the like, you don't need to be in the DEM to support it.

The first few days on things like this will be sink or swim, I just though y'all might want to support a worthy cause...

I'd probably donate were I able to get over this irrational fear of needles of mine... Also, I'm not sure I'm legally old enough, although frankly I haven't really given much thought to checking up on that.

Still, if anyone else has the time and the means, I'd encourage them to do so as well.

As much as I'd like to, I'm a year underage and, like Samurai Jack, I'm horrified of needles.

I'll try going to this one hospital. There they'll probably tell me my weight is too low to donate, so meh.

Then again, I wouldn't be given any certificate, so it'd be kinda useless to this thing. But that doesn't mean I'm not trying it xD
