Dr. Donald Droughns was a part of the team that made the initial Necrotech breakthroughs. While he acknowledged the amazing breakthroughs he was a part of, he felt that the revivification process was was merely a "band-aid" that treated the symptoms of zombification. He felt that his calling in Malton was two-fold...
1. Study zombies to find out the true nature of the disease. 2. Either break down the zombies, who seemed to have some cognitive memory functions or make a vaccine for the infection.
As he got caught up more and more in his research of zombies and zombieism, many of his colleagues felt that Dr. Droughns was straying from standard scientific and medical practices. So he bounced around Necrotech facilities across Malton to further his research, always taking a case full of files, Necrotech syringes, and a number of CDs onto which he burned his audio observations of his subjects.
