As you all well know, I'm a stats junkie, I love watching how the Urban Dead stats change, and I especially love seeing how we can change those stats. The NMC has personally thrown the city out of zombie hands twice, our glorious yagton-to-caiger quests of last year being my favorite month-or-so of online gaming.
The disturbing importance this "Real life" crap has had in influencing my gameplay is astounding. I haven't RP-ed genuinely for about 3 months, I haven't masterminded any specific operations for almost a year...my own angels aren't even a listed group anymore, and the numbers of multiple NMC groups are lower than they should be...
Fortunately, now that I've gotten my epic 50 page toxicology paper over and done with, I have time to throw myself into this again full time.
I for one think we need to sound the news conch (sp) shell and re-assemble the forces for a threefold attempt to once again swing this city out of zombie hands!
Here's what we need:
A Continued Lack of Discipline: For as long as I've played with the NMC, we've done what we want, when we want, and we've never considered any turf our home or any player our "commander"...this will not, and should not change.
A Massive Recruiting Drive: We need more players, and specifically, more active ones. If anyone has any grandiose Ideas, please submit them here. I have a few ideas of my own to institute, but In game recruiting can't work unless we get large groups of players at in a safe place...which won't happen until we
Re-institute the mission system: This has worked twice in the past...if a good cadre of players can agree to participate in combat once a week, if this same group can pick appropriate targets to take and hold, and if we give the missions suitably cool names, they just might work.
What are your thoughts
