I still couldn't believe the LT as we flew over the rapidly-building quarentine line around Malton. It just made no sense. Things you saw in video games and movies just did not happen in real life.
Zombies just don't happen.
I shook my head to clear that thought as I tried to listen to the en-route briefing. Zombies had happened, and had happened hard. Most of the city had been surrounded, and the last gap in the line was rapidly being closed. Our company was being roped into the perimeter around St Jude's Hospital in the Ridleybank. Choppers were inbound to try to evac as many people as possible, the LT said. The Malton Police Department and Fire Department were doing everything they could, but the numbers facing them were simply too much. We heard the reports of firemen abandoning their hoses and uses their axes to keep their trucks pumping another minute, to keep a warehouse from fully catching. We heard the reports of people being eaten in the streets. We heard the reports of looting, wanton violence, and a new surge in murderers. We heard the reports of paramedics being mauled by the very people they were trying to help. We'd heard it all.
Still didn't get us ready for it.
More tomorrow.

FIVE MINUTES the LT shouted. We had just crossed Ridlybank, the supposed source of it all. The view from the Blackhawk was like a view of Hell from Heaven. Those things were everywhere. I was amazed when I saw the Blackmore Building though. The horde was smashing at it, but I saw survivors doing everything to hold them back. The numbers against them were incalculable, yet they were holding. I watched pistol and rifle fire pour out of the building onto the streets below, while people on the ground continued to barricade the lowest levels. I would later learn they call themselves the Blackmore Bastard Brigade. They were magnificent.
We reached St. Judes Hospital only to find the rooftop was blocked by a very wrecked chopper. For a split second we couldn't figure out why the chopper was burning until we saw a F-16 drop two missiles into a chopper on a nearby hospital. Christ... They're grounding anything that can get out of the quarentine. We're not getting out.
More to come.

Uhhhhh........This section of the RP board is more of a section to tell your character's backstory. Not to keep a journal of your happenings.....

Workin' on it. Jerk.
I just haven't had enough time in a single stretch to make it all in one single post. Internet access from where I am is intermittent at best.
So bugger off.
