So, in the spirit of spamming, I'm just gonna ramble here and bring up a couple of things that are on my mind.
First, I bought the two-disc special edition Dark Knight DVD yesterday...but a few hours later, I went to Wal Mart and saw you could get a kickass Two-Face coin and comic with the regular edition, so that was kinda irritating. But I ended up getting the coin and comic from a friend anyway.
Ah, peddlers at the mall are really pissing me off. A few days ago, I was at the mall, this woman at the lotion kiosk approached me, I didn't even look at her. I passed by a second time, and just gave a friendly, "No thanks" before noticing she was Israeli and hot, which kinda threw me off. Third time I passed, she approached me again. I gave the friendly no thanks again, and she waves me over and says, "Can I ask you a question?"
"Uh....sure?"
"Do you have a girlfriend?"
"Occasionally, but not right now"
"What about your mom, are you shopping for her this year?"
And at this point, I knew I had to say something off the script, because I couldn't just say I don't have a mom.
"Ah, my parents were killed when I was 8 years old"
She kinda reeled back in an expression of equal confusion and horror, and I said I had to run and left.
And yesterday at the mall, this guy and this woman at the jewelry shop stopped my friend Lambert and I, asking us to sign up for this mailing list. We politely said no thanks, and I said I never actually buy jewelry, anyway.
"What if you get a girl?", the woman asks.
And without missing a beat, Lambert puts his arm around me and says, "...why do you think we're here together?"
While struggling with all my will not to explode with laughter, the lady kinda laughed it off and retreated, and we walked away in insane, cackling laughter.
Happy birthday to Rip (Even though he's gone) and Padre! Also, good to see Tovarisch is around
