Guys, give him a break. You should stop ragging on him in public. It makes us look unclassy. After all, not everyone knows what a "ooltay" he is, and they might misunderstand. ;D

Anyone in Scarletwood, St. Spyridon's Hospital next to the Angell Building was attacked, one unfortunate survivor dragged onto the streets, and I got the cades up, trapping the only zombie in with three survivors. It seems that Glorious Battle is still alive in Scarletwood.

Dammit we had that cleared like 2 days ago. We really need more ammo to hold these things back.
Theres me and 2 other survivors in st spyridons now with VH cades, however there also appear to be a brace of zombies... rather devoid of bullets holes and axes cuts sadly.

Are you really? Any advice? I'm applying to nearly everywhere within my score range. Also, welcome home! And I should get my sleep now? You know, I need about 20 hours of sleep a day... speaking of days, I was wandering around BC, the other day, and saw three law students. They all looked really depressed and I think one was contemplating throwing himself under the wheels of my car. I applied to every school I thought was reasonably within my range also. Depression generally sets in a month (or day) or two into your first year (this is where the alcohol comes in). But by the third year, its not so bad. Advice? Try not to stress out too much over your grades.. though they do matter in getting summer jobs, and eventually a real job, they aren't the only thing that matters. And after your first job, they REALLY won't matter much. If you're going to sleep 20 hours a day, you should sit in the back a lot. Also, check out this blog post I came across on strategies for getting "called-on" in class - wingsandvodka.blogs.com/blog/2006/01/a_brief_taxonom.htmlIt'll be funnier once you're in law school!

What's the status of Blackmore? The BAR's TDT just pulled into Ridley That's awesome! We can use some more firepower in Ridley. I'm pinned down 3 blocks away from Blackmore at "a factory" (location: 54,44). I can't confirm the condition of Blackmore any more than to say "It's There". The zed presence in this area is heavy and organized. St. George's Hospital at 53,45 fell earlier today to a horde of no less than 20-30 and is currently ransacked. At one point, there were 15 active zeds in the hospital. I haven't checked recently, but when the hospital was claimed by the zeds it was believed to have been heavily barricaded (which means its probably now a pinata). We are currently fighting to hold Margaret General Hospital at 55,44. There are 6 or so survivors inside, and at least a dozen in the factory next door (54,44) which are raiding the hospital to clear it out from time to time. We definitely need backup. I'm running out of guns (and I know other survivors are too). I'll probably need to leave Ridley sometime tommorow to go get guns, and then I'll return.

Meanwhile, those of us in Scarletwood are weathering the constant threat of Glorious Battle, especially in St. Spyridon's Hospital it seems. The Angell Building, however, is a constant source of safety, as does the Garniss Building, as it so happens.

St. George is down? Damn, first Adalbert, now this...
I saw it coming with Adalbert though, 32 survivors, most not at full HP, Gore Corps members going through the place...

Regarding the depression, I'm told the happiest law students have dogs. I love dogs, but I also love alcohol. Maybe I should aim to have both- or a dog that drinks? Right now, the depressing part is the application process. God, it's worse than the LSAT!
Stress has never really bothered me, that much. Check my pulse, it don't change! Stays 72, come shine or rain. But that blog bothers me- good God, the more I read about law school, the less I want to go to one that's actually competitive. It's funny, though, and I need more of that. Bookmarked!
Thanks for the advice- if you get anymore, tell me for the love of God!

I have dogs, but they've cut down on the booze since the move. Though if you plan on staying in a dorm, you might need to get a Paris Hilton "dog." And I wouldn't say I was ever really depressed - just a feeling of "this sucks, I want to sleep, I don't want to read 150 pages of cases tonight." But as I said, after 1L, it gets progressively better (at least it did for me).
Go to a "competitive" law school if you can. I'm at a good one, and while the work might be relatively tougher, its not like the students are cutthroat with each other (unlike what you might hear elsewhere (like Scott Turow's book "1L" - but maybe that was just Harvard)). Also, don't play SNOOD or any other games during class - not a good long term plan.
I think the application process blows for everyone. If you're not done, my advice (which I didn't follow) - finish it all ASAP. The longer you wait, the worse it gets. (Speeding down to the post office 20 minutes before it closes on the deadline is not the way to go).

St. George is down? Damn, first Adalbert, now this... Actually, now they are both down... This sad screenshot shows the aftermath of an extremely well-planned operation. After taking back Margaret and St.George's shortly after my last comment, we caded the building to EHB. We lost both of the recently liberated hospitals sometime last night, and the warehouse which we were using as the safe house. Since all the affected buildings in the area were EHB, I'm theorizing a horde of no less than 50-60 to bring down the cades, kill everyone inside and still have enough AP to ransack all the buildings. I'm gonna leave Ridley for a revive and some more guns. Be back later...
