Well, Ackland Mall is completely ruined. Fell today while I was at work, so I'm dead and shambling up to Caiger. Kinda pathetic that The Dead had to opportunistically attack a weakened mall right after the MOB left. We barely had 50 people. I'm being repetitive though.
And thanks Rockby, but thinking logically doesn't deserve such praise. The less needles we have to dump into the revive lines, the better. ;D

Stanbury and Roftwood both are under attack, so pick one if you want to defend.
If you want to take the fight even further, the Rangers are retaking Tollyton. We could sure use all the help we can get.

Indeed, not sure how Stanbury is doing but Hildebrand Mall is under a nasty siege at the moment. Plenty of places to have fun in Central Malton Redwave.

Apparently, the Dead are bringing their hordes up to Pitneybank and Gibsonton to bring down the green zones. They apparently already have zombies sieging Morrish. Can anyone confirm this?

I keep hearing about Morrish/Giddings being under attack by 170+ zombies. I don't know how incredibly accurate it is, but I've heard it from several different folks now, all of which are reliable themselves, so I'd expect that they'll be hard pressed soon enough.
Hildebrand is in hell of shape. Anyone set to reinforce it, Odin knows we could use it.

Well, AMS is up at Caiger Mall right now with CC and a lot of other refugees. As long as we're away from Ackland, I suppose we'll try to pump some life back into these grey zone/wastelands up here. I'm glad we're not at Giddings, and I even advised against it, as it's too juicy a target to escape the gaze of the hordes...

Just throwing it out of the blue, but in theory, what would happen if many large survivor groups chose to, without warning, move to the north-west, where it's turning gray, rebuild the suburbs, wipe out the few zeds that remain, and make a safe haven up there?

The zombies would likely come and eat enough people to constitute a victory and the survivors would scatter once more. If we weren't organized enough, that is. And in most theories, we aren't. We just ain't massively organized enough to hold off a sizable, co-ordinated horde yet. Though it's a work in progress.
As for the situation in Hildebrand, we got 60 zombies and 80 bodies outside the lower-left corner. They hit us pretty hard last night, but we held em. Anyone coming to reinforce, getting in that corner is crucial.

Its not the wasteland the wiki would have you believe. A large sub-horde of the dead has arrived and loaded up the area with Zombies. Caiger/Latrobe will be finished off in the next day or so. Thats the thing with the Dead. They have 4 hordes going now. West, East, NE and NW. Its the only reason they are having this sort of effect. RRF, Extinction, EF, FU, any other zombie group could claim such success if they all ran four coordinated groups of alts. Its tough out there. I would suggest survivors stop trying to hold any malls. Concentrate on needles and revives. Our numbers are too small to hope to hold much at this point. |
