adding to cat tactics...
search ruined buildings. Don is right, search rates seem to be WAY up.
Dont hesitate to pillage a ruined mall for faks (or ammo or anything). My last run doing this with 35ap of searching added 11 faks to my pack.

Generators in ruined buildings work wonders too, folks. The search rate goes up a ton, almost to if the building was repaired. The advantage is they can't see the lights from the outside. Only way they can tell is if they're right outside and they read the description.

Yeah, it's getting pretty bad. I've dropped my zombie alt temporarily, and my 2 survivors are nothing but revivers/medics right now. A week ago in Latrobe I found 4 needles with 11 AP, so these upped search rates aren't nonsense. Thanks for the tips, Don.

Rates are way up for syringes, too - 14 syringes in 44 AP, and I discarded a lot of GPS and DNA extractors. Maybe Kevan is with us, this time.

Rates are insanely good with needles.
I grabbed 7 in 11 AP.

I got 5 syringes in 30 AP. I wish I could do 7 in 11  Someone I talked to yesterday in the Beerhah IRC got 10 syringes in 10 searches. Now that's lucky. |

B) Cat tactics are me renaming "Rat Tactics", which is what they call the strategy we're resorting to to survive.
Type in Rat Tactics on the wiki to get the page for it. See the previous page of this topic to see my reasoning for renaming them Cat Tactics.

I also ponder the sensibility of these tatics, since they run against my own, which is Unload one of either 8 loaded pistols or 5 shotguns and sprint back to cover. JUGGERNAUT TACTICS!
