Wait wait wait, you're saying LUE is running outta gas already? *goes to look at the stats page* 250+ members. I think you still may have a smidgen of gas left. We're used to 300 to 350 members. School started back and we'll probably have to start taking it easy after this Dulston thing is over with.

What we need to do strategically is to get a stream of reviver teams deep in NW land. Load-up with syringes, join with a hit man and a repairman, estabilish a safehouse near a clogged revive point, revive like crazy for a few days, repeat. Bring the fight back in the red suburbs already!
We should keep these teams largely independent to prevent unfriendlies from waiting us with their claws opened. We should only mantain a personal ads style meet-up point where the small teams can find willing members of the desired classes, and then it's up to them to setup the actual target and tactic by PM.
Heck, let's steal from RRF (thanks Murray) and start the Survivor Olympics. 1 points per revives in NW, -1 point for combat revives, 3 points for bringing a ruined building to VSB, 5 points for bringing a ruined building to EHB, extra 5 points for bringing a ruined NT's to EHB.

That really isn't going to work-
This ruin update is going to completely force survivors into a corner-
If a building is ruined it can't be repaired unless someone has a toolbox + there are no standing zeds.
that means if you wnated to take a building with 30 zeds inside- you'd need to go in, kill the zeds- repair the ruin, fix the ransack, get the cades up and get a genny back in.
How many people would you need for that? if zeds stayed logged on and keep standing up (even after recieving a headshot) the task would be unbelievable hellish.
Thats why we survivors are going to fins the task of clearing a mall with 150+ zeds in it absolutely hellish.

Unless they're just alts assigned with that task specifically, no zombie player wants to hold territory. Understand that about your enemy. Zombies are combat only. We don't really have anything else to do. We can barely communicate in game, have no other ways of getting XP, and get no enjoyment out of not making survivors shit their pants. If 150 zombies could be content staying in a mall, the CRF never would have given back Caiger. Zombies need survivors to kill which I think is why we appreciate you so much more than you seem to appreciate us. Survivors can enjoy times without zombies and create their own drama (be it PKing or just yelling at each other), zombies don't have that.

I see what you mean- but if zeds co-ordnate themselves they would eventually be able to force survivors in to a corner, cos no-oone would be able to wander into a ruined burb and start repairing it before zeds would realise there's been movement and *boomf* zombified- which is also a problem cos we've lost a hell of a lot of NT's in the North so revive que's are really piling up.

I wasn't going to mention them specifically, but yeah, charges of that have dogged them. They say it's not cheating because their alts are several suburbs apart and I think they've outright denied any alts are used for just standing up and holding a spot, but I also know they'd be okay with it because it's not explicitly against the rules. I just have a problem with using an account as a tool rather than a character, which is my only problem with zombie scouts. A level 1 scout that runs through a mall a few days before a zombie horde hits it is a tool, not a character. However, I am okay with big hordes (a la Shacknews or LUE) utilizing scouts when that's part of a person's job as a character. Same reason I'm okay with death cultists. Someone is playing them, not just using them. My other problem is that I have fears Extinction actually is engaging in widespread multi abuse after I heard them make their argument to explain and justify the policies they do openly admit to. I may be reading this graph wrong (thank sten from Brainstock), but to me it looks like a lot more zombies started playing right after the 12th of August. You see the spike for Yahooma's Day and there were just a lot more people playing in general. It's weird, but there's an explanation for so many new players. Otherwise, dips in one group, especially in survivors, ought to be matched by a similar rise in zombies. You see that happening at the beginning of the chart, all the way up to Yahooma's Day. But then at the end, that weird thing happens where suddenly zombies are appearing out of nowhere (because dead bodies never significantly increase). Some of that can be explained by Caiger Mall because that happened right around then and Shacknews came back as OEM?, for example, after not playing for a long time. But that's 50 people, max, and you wouldn't even notice that on that graph. Maybe LUE's membership drive brought us 50 more people, so that's 100 people. Maybe another forum like LUE joined at that time and all started playing zombies. But there were 14,000 zombies on the 14th and 15,000 on 17th. Hundreds died in the attack on Caiger and that explains a lot of the increase in zombies, but not the appearance of new characters as zombies. However, it's also the time that Extinction starting moving down from the north to start its push south (and also east). You can hold, say, 6 suburbs with 150 active members, lots of active ferals, clever use of tagging (which is one thing they don't get enough credit for). But 25 suburbs is far too much for 150 zombies. So they have residual ferals that struck Caiger, they have the Eastonwood Ferals and Caiger Resistance Front. And they have ruin which they've used as well as any zombie group in the game. But when I hear their stance on alts and I see a pretty huge jump in zombies (feeding almost the entire new active players jump), I get incredibly suspicious. And to be fair, this is all speculation, there's no proof I know of that they've ever engaged in creating token alts, and they are remarkably organized and strategic regardless of what tactics they use, but I know they're not against something like this in the name of their "play to win" philosophy and that makes me feel like such speculation is not baseless.

Hmm, all I know is that if they are using widespread zerging it means trouble for survivors- we're having a hard time holding 'burbs on the fringe as it is- our chances of reclaiming 'burbs will go down the crapper.

*Wispy Mafia Don voice.*
"These people, they come in and don't respect the old ways. There was a time you could kill a Zom, and he'd stand up and whack ya back. But these kids come into my house, into my city, and decide they want to upset the peace. Well they should tread wisely, lest they end up in the bottom of the river. You got it?"
*End wispy voice*
Thanks Insomniac, that's pretty interesting reading. At least these guys don't ooze as much hate as Death's Embrace...

Just because I want to make sure it is known as widely as possible, got to say again that Jorm had them nailed a long time ago--
If Extinction actually zergs its way to damaging the game more seriously, I actually wouldn't be suprised if the MOB and RRF turned harman temporarily. And while that is of course just a joke, I mean that as a statement about their classiness.

If Extinction actually zergs, and I wish we could get some more concrete evidence, it's gonna be crap reclaiming the NW. And they'll just keep spreading.
But damn I'd do a lot to see the RRF and MOB go human, even if it was only temporary. That would be something, survivor and zombie fighting the zergers together.

It would be Harmonious!
Except that would never happen, it's not the Zed's responsibility to prevent the apocalypse after all.
Edit: I thought it was common knowledge that Extinction held burbs with Zergs. They just failed epic for so long I've been erasing them from the equation till now.

Insomniac has a point, although whether it applies to Extinction I have no clue, the change in zombie numbers is extremely fishy considering that in 2 years survivor join rates have consistently been roughly 2/3rds that of zombie join rates. Most new zombies are made from those new survivors that get killed by other zombies and give up on attempting to get a revive, that's what Yahoomas was for zombies, zombies killed the survivors in the streets then directed them to food that was weakened and made easy bait, they made playing a zombie productive and hopefully fun for the new players which is why the drop off for zombies was significantly less than the drop off for humans. The point is I've never heard of a massive increase in zombie numbers with no decrease in survivor numbers, no preliminary increase in survivor numbers, and no decrease in dead bodies. I'd say someone is cheating somewhere, but I couldn't say who.

Well folks, weather or not someone is cheating, it's not exactly like we'd be able to prove it, or stop it
the only issue is weather or not we're willing to retake the north or not... the last time survivors were up shit creek, I organized a weekly strike at server reset on specific points throughout the city...the objective here is clear: we need to retake some of those NT's...I want some proposals from all of you on which ones would be best to retake, and how soon you all can reach a safehouse nearby, I want to get a toehold in NW malton by friday.
