I do believe Hitler is a demagogue. He appealed to the anti-semitic believes that where pretty popular back then. I would say Hitler's biggest mistake was fighting the USSR. A two-front war, it got Germany in WWI. Otto Von Bismark Advised the Kaiser, but silly old Kaiser didn't listen. Otto Von Bismark, greatest name ever.

I disagree, I've read some of the excerpts from Mein Kampf and many of his ideas are clearly impractical- not what you'd expect from a demagogue. The anti-semitism wuz clearly not an act designed to gain public support, as it wuz not until after he and the Nazi party had gained power that he really started being up-front about being anti-semitic. Additionally, he wuz already known to be anti-semitic before he even started politics. During their campaign for office he and the Nazi party actually toned down their racism in order to appeal to the general public. I think Hitler wuz just insane. I agree that fighting the USSR wuz a mistake, though; Hitler probly thought he wuz Napolean, trying to take over half of Europe. He might not have declared war on the USSR if he'd known just how weak Italy wuz, though.

I've been told that Mein Kampf includes a description of the final solution. He did start his invasion of the USSR on the same day Napoleon did. I think his advisors or generals spoke against invading the USSR so late in the year, Hitler wanted to accomplish what Napoleon couldn't.

Sh**, Napolean might have failed but he managed to gain control of every country in Europe except Spain and Britain. Hitler came nowhere near that.

Napoleon did to Spain what Hitler did to the other half of France. Puppet government. Napoleon put a relative in power, his brother I think. I do believe Hitler conquered more than Napoleon.

Right now I'm still trying to figure out which has the most territory in blue and whether or not the first map counts Napolean's many allies. If I'm not mistaken all the countries in Europe were either under control of Napolean or allied with him except Spain (formally Napolean had taken over Spain but the situation over there wuz like the one in Iraq), and Britain.

Personally I think Hitler conquered more. Alexander the Great. He almost conquered the known world at the age of 33. I think he conquered 98% of it, from Greece to Northern India. I do believe he was the inspiration for many conquerors throughout the ages. He's a very interesting figure, I recomend reading about him.

I've been planning to but right now I'm too busy. I'll get around to it eventually, though.

both sucked balls compared to Alexander. Two things. One. I agree completely with you. Two. I make one silly little diss on Bush, and when I come back later, you guys turned it into a full fledged history class without me. I knew some people could be mean, but not including me like that was just cruel. . And "HOLY CRAP, RON IS IN IRAQ".
