At first, I think what will do is keep the genre on music close to each other. Not have it go from heavy metal to soft rock to punk. Try to keep birds of a feather flocked together. Know what I'm saying? Because I don't know how to say it.

And unfortunately I'm not worth Lachryma's whip's time so there's no chance of me playing a System of the Down song anyways.

Blah blah blah. Hippies can get all pissed off too. I'll end the whole thing on a high note by playing last, k?

Wow, how did I miss this thread/board/place-outside-the-Rats-Den? Nice pick on the name, I can't believe my Testicle Festival 07 suggestion was even considered as an option. I vote yes on "Clapton", "all are welcome", and "until the last set". I know I just joined this thread, but maybe the choices of music should mainly be about the messages of the songs, not just the genre. It would give the festival more of a Woodstock-like "Save the World" type of feel... plus I'm a huge RATM fan Lach, if you haven't already, check out the songs "Maggie's Farm" and "Freedom". Those are my RATM favs.

So more political/peace-loving songs?

I might as well throw my hat into the ring... Assuming time and other factors permit, Specialist290 will be performing there. "What will he be performing, though?" you ask? Well, for now, it's a secret

So more political/peace-loving songs? That's what I was thinking, but I guess that depends on whether or not we are going to let zombies attend. In my head, Zombipalooza is a concert that promotes love and unity between survivors and zombies for a day.

Lach, if you haven't already, check out the songs "Maggie's Farm" and "Freedom". Those are my RATM favs. I have Maggie's Farm, but I haven't listened to it. 'Freedom' is okay. Anyway, political songs would be lovely.

It might be a good idea to not only let political bands play though, something a little more easygoing and partyish would be nice like Bob Log III, that guys seems totaly awesome. Plus hes got a song thats called Boob Scotch. I'm actually seriously considering writing some songs for this event, would be to play some songs, i actually got the first verse on one already, but it's not that serious though.

That song name is vaguely offensive, but I agree with your general sentiment of not being all political and serious and feth.

If we are going for politicalish songs, I can always dust off "La Revolucion," but I'm still hoping to perform this one song I've composed specially for the event.

Seemed like an easier way to go, it wouldn't matter that much if it just turned into a big party if we're not all serious. Here's some kind of rap i wrote just now, might do it at the event, depends a little on what people think about it. It's no too serious i might add: " I'm gonna play a song about a zed named Dan, who thought he could eat the brain of every man, his soul was cold like the artic ice, and if you might cross him you better think twice. No, this zed was a stone cold looner, who could most likely kill you with his booner, his smile is like the bombs over Iraq, who condems your soul, and leaves your body to dry, you'll lose your mind, thinking over your crimes, if you as much as peek in his eyes.
But Dan the zed would soon meet his end, at the hands of a former friend, who betrayed, and turned all harman, and blew Dans brain out, he was a 9 mm gooner.
In with these words i'll leave you to think, about your own sins, your own darkest moments, 'cause if you walk down that road where Dan once went, you'll only come to realise you've embraced your own end. "If you got suggestions for changes go right on ahead, it's not exactly a work of art

Pretty good. Break it into lines. More consistent rhyme patter and # of syllables per line. Also use iambic pentameter. Seriously though, its good. I liked it.

My plans of becoming the first MC in UD comes to a good start... I'll try to improve it, i only worked on it like 5 minutes so i would be more surprised if there weren't anything wrong with it.
