Hey look! I'm posting from school! I'm amazed this forum isn't on the NYCDOE block list, unlike YouTube...

Some of my friends figured out the admin password at my school (the school's address) so they unblocked every website that was blocked. They haven't realized it yet and it's been two years.

I just break into the computers that I use the most and disable all the blocks and shit they put on there. Damn it, if I want to find horror books on google, I'll do it!
Yes, they blocked the use of Horror in any search engine, even if its with something as tame as a book. :/

Facebook and all social networking sites suck.
Find something better to do in school, like unblocking the p2p services.

Instead of being a wuss and using proxies, get admin access, and go to the sites like normal.

What if its a study hall? Back when I was a freshmen, me and my friend Byron sat and flicked paper footballs out the windows and shit for an hour and a half straight, every other day.
Better to use a PC and not waste internets than just sit bored in class all day, right?
Not to mention the fact that if you're doing a report for a class, sometimes they block research materials because of the topic, whether the page has any actual disallowed content or not.
Like catapult and other siege weapons. Can't look them up on wikipedia for a report on projectile motion in physics, even though there's nothing really against the content rules. It's simply blanket banned. The IT people at schools suck at creating an effective block, and they also suck at blocking proper topics.

I almost got suspended Junior year for researching inappropriate material in school. I was researching terminal ballisitcs, which apparently is akin to making a death threat... Got an A on that essay though.

Yeah. Simply put, they stick the wrong people in charge of technology.

No no, they put the right people in charge of kicking ass at making good music. Most of the time anyway.
