You know, my Dad is from Norway, and he'd be rolling over in his grave if he heard that I can't remember the name of that damned tree... And I think that you're thinking of Fjord, which are the "fingers" of the ocean that creep inland in Scandinavia.

It would have to be one heck of a big bear to eat the tree that we're talking about.

I was going to post Fjord but then I remembered Fnord. Apparently it is the typographic representation of disinformation or irrelevant information intending to misdirect, with the implication of a conspiracy. It took me a while to understand that definition.

Maybe its that one tree the Norse believe in. FNORD! Whatever the hell that means. I think you mean Yggdrasil. Quoted from wikipedia: "In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil (Old Norse Yggdrasill, IPA: [ˈygˌdrasilː]; the extra -l is a nominative case marker) is the "World Tree", a gigantic ash tree, thought to connect all the nine worlds of Norse cosmology." While a fjord is: "A fjord (or fiord) is a long, narrow estuary with steep sides, made when a glacial valley is flooded by the sea."

Pfffft, like I'd willingly go to a planet completely infested with aliens trying to assimilate every living being into it's race.

You would assimilate a species into itself? That's truly ASSimilation in action.
