He implemented Social Security, you know who came up with the idea of a social security program? Or at least was the first to implement it? Otto Von Bismark. Owner of the greatest name of all time.

Lach, I'm only standing by my principles. ... When I hear the word 'principles', I think of things like, "I will never stand by and watch while someone gets hurt." "I will never boil kittens." "I will donate money to charity." But..."I will always count to a million with solid numbers, and not just with numbers of posts"?

1934 That is indeed one of the coolest names ever. The guy himself was pretty cool, too.
Lach: If you abandon them on the little things, what's to say you won't on the big things?

Yes he was. He warned the Kaiser about a two front war, maybe he could have won WWI. Now that would be something I'd be interested to see.

1935 Ice: Indeed, that would be cool. YMI: It's in Purgatory. What did you expect? Lach: Don't quite get the reference... EDIT: And after reading about the Broken Window Theory on Wikipedia, I have to say that the man who came up w/ it is a fething genius.

I love the broken window theory. Its like a warm glass of tea, delicious! Ice basically sums it up, but to elaborate on his wonderful imagery: The Broken Window Theory is a law enforcement idea that proposes that if you crack down hard on minor crimes, like breaking a window or getting onto the subway without a ticket, major crimes won't happen. Critics argue that it's just a waste of police resources, and I don't know what studies say about its effectiveness. EDIT: Ice, that's from Macbeth, no?

1937 Well, obviously it won't prevent them entirely--that's just human nature--but if you show that you mean business on the little things, it'll intimidate some of the "weaker" ones into not acting as they would otherwise.

I thought ti stated that if you break a window someone would think "hey, the laws are not being supported" and they themselves would go off to commit crimes. This theory allowed Gulliani to have a reason to clean up NYC, I wish he let the subway keep its graffiti. I think some graffiti can look real nice.

Creepy story. Lady Macbeth is awesomely evil though.
