Well, just fumble around on the wiki. You'll figure it out sooner or later. 2728

I've been meaning to do that but I don't. Not sure why.
I was so close to posting a topic that would have made a fool of myself.

I thought you hated rap? Is it bearable to you in metal form?

Yes it's bearable in metal. Generally what I define as rap is the usual stuff they play on the radio. Which usually only talks about sex drugs and violence. If rappers would come up with something to rap about other than these same three categories over and over, I wouldn't hate it as much. ;D

Cuz I've heard rap that talks about hoodies and the assumptions people make about you when you're wearing 'em ('Hoodie'), I've heard rap about fake tans ('Tango'), the music business getting all fethed ('Help Is Coming'), Columbine ('Way I Am') (wait, that's violence), protests ('La Rage'), race ('Black Stacey'), Iraq ('March Of Death', 'Mosh'), nostalgia ('Those Were the Days'), mail order brides ('10 Dollar') (well, that's sorta sex...), and bothering your neighbors with loud music ('Fiddle With The Volume'). However, about 80% of those examples were from non-American rap, so go figure. Would you count Rage Against The Machine as metal/rap?

Yes, go figure that American rap is filled with hate, and inappropriate things . I'm a big fan of Techno/electronic music, so I like the basis of rap from the start. The biggest problem as I said is when U.S. rappers bust out stupid stuff like 50 Cent's Candy Shop. I listen to foreign "rap" though, and I'm actually quite a fan of Bushido. And it's not really the violence that I don't like, but more of the fact that alot of what I hear in U.S. rap is "I killed this guy, I shot that guy, that guy killed that guy". RATM, well, wikipedia classifies them as Alternative metal Alternative rock Funk metal Rapcore. Me though? I classify everything in the rock, but not metal category as rock. I'm lazy, I know.

Random American rap quote: "Bust so many shots, gun powder probably blind y'all"
You should check out RATM. 'People of the Sun' has a cool video, and the video for 'Guerrilla Radio' is funny (well, sweat shops aren't that funny, but still)
Do you listen to a lot of techno?

Yes I listen to a lot of Techno, most of it's stuff I've made on my synth, found on newgrounds audio portal, found on ocremix.com, or my friends made though. In other words, underground stuff. The commercial stuff is mostly German, but I do listen to Daft Punk, Kraftwerk, Orbital, and a few others. RATM, honestly, I haven't listened to them since I was 8. I lost the cd I had of theirs, and me being the wee little funk-a-daddy I was, I didn't put any thought into that. I think I might have to pick up a few of their albums again though, all this talk makes me wanna listen to them again.
