Today, Nov 7, 2007, at around 8:45 am central time, on the way up the stairs, a good friend of mine had a grave accident, and is no longer with us.
Yes, I regret to inform you all that my signature colossal headphones have been broken, due to a fatal stepping on of the cord by yours truly, and the subsequent ripping out of the jack from my Zune.
Thankfully, no collateral damage was done to the Zune, but my precious headphones are no more. I am not sure what exactly caused their death, as the jack is still as pristine in appearance as it was when I got it, and the wire does not appear ripped, but I can only assume internal damage is involved.
So please, if you all could, say a prayer to whatever god you worship for my poor companion, the big headphones. My image will never be the same...
...at least until I buy a new pair. On a related note, who has some extra cash?

I hate it when headphones break. Especially when you don't have a back up pair.
Mine are broken right now too. So now my Digital audio/video device is just sitting there....Taunting me...
And that reminds me, I have to go to the bank tomorrow.

I might be intrested, if it's a Glock, the kind that don't get detected by metal detectors, and that fires under water, and with sand sand in the barrel... Does that exists, or is that just in my mind?

Is this the cue for a moment of silence? Well, of course, this event will be associated with a lot of silence, so maybe not.
But no, that's always evil when that happens. The more irritating one though is when they start breaking and you don't have a spare, so you've got to deal with that infernal buzzing clicking sound in your ears all the time. It's like Chinese Water Torture.

My headphones just have that problem where one got wet (or something, never-the-less, don't put headphones on 5-10 minutes after you get out of the shower) so one is basically dead, and my CD's (I'm old skool yo) play different things on both (duh) so I can only hear half the song...

I'd say the worst is when your mp3 player stops working after you've dropped it on the bathroom floor when you were in Spain.
Though if I have to stick with headphones, I'd say when only one of the 'phones are working...

Does that exists, or is that just in my mind? Your thinking of the Glock 17? It's actually not metal-detector proof, only the frame is made out of polymers. And theoretically, most guns could be able to fire underwater (I'm not saying well) - it's more the ammunition than the gun. As for sand... you want something in the AK family.

Ahh, alright... I probably made it up No chance of all polymer guns then I take it?

I'm pretty sure you were thinking of the Glock, since it raised a big controversy when it came out.
And seeing as how it's considered to be one of the most lightweight handguns available, and is still made out of 80% metal, I'd say polymer guns are a no. Stick with ceramic knives, not only do they cut better, but they are impossible to detect on the metal detector.

Yeah the Glock 17 is the 'plastic' gun, if you watch any gun program on discovery channel it will have something about it. I gotta say i dont find pistols all that cool, they hurt more than they kill.
Machine guns however... thats a whole other erotic ball game. The bullets for the A-10 tank buster are as thick as my wrist
