It's a little hard to play this game when you don't have internet in your apartment!! Urgh. Stupid cable person won't come until next week.
Thank God for the lab and the campus wireless network.

As a side note, I have googled your sig our of curiosity multiple times...and never turned anything up.
This means either: A) You stole this poem from an up and coming young poet, and I commend your light fingers or more likely B) You wrote it yourself, and it's brilliant.

Alas, I didn't write it! I wish I had. And I wish I knew who did write it.
There used to be a statue in the mall in my hometown, some kind of big bronze thing that I could never figure out what it was supposed to be. One day (I must have been about 11 or 12) as we were walking in the mall, I went up to the base of it and found that poem inscribed. I read it once and loved it, and it hit me that the statue was supposed to represent the sails of a ship. I liked the poem so much I hastily memorized it (I'm not completely sure I've got it right, but I think so) but like an idiot I didn't memorize the author's name. I can't even remember if it said who the author was. Shortly after that they remodeled the mall and took that statue away.
I have been kicking myself ever since. I might try calling around and see if I can't get ahold of someone who would know either where that statue came from or what happened to it.

Have you tried doing research from your local library? Try searching for newspapers about when the mall was first built. There might be an article about it.
