"Spinbad, huh? He hung out in here too. I'm the last one left of the old gang." He shakes his head. "Damn, I feel old. In answer to your other question, I wouldn't recommend going back there. Valjohn... He's not exactly right in the head. A few too many revives, we think. Hasn't even tarnished his cooking talent, though. He can make pretty much anything you can ask for, god knows where he gets all the supplies."

"Really? This DJ hung around here? So I'm guessing that rusty DJ equipment in the corner belonged to him?"
Yuki takes another bite from the burger.
"Do you have any o-sake around this bar? It's always been my alcoholic beverage of choice. Maybe because I'm Japanese. Which reminds me, do excuse me if I start talking a mix of Japanese and English. It's kinda a habit of mine. Again, it's probably because I am Japanese."
Yuki finishes her burger.
"Mmmm...Do give my compliments to the chef."

"I shall." Sarpek leans through the window, and gives a thumbs up. A grunt comes from inside, followed by the sound of a refrigerator door slamming. "Hmmm. About that Sake, I'll check the storage room." Sarpek disappears through a door behind the bar, and returns a few minutes later with an extremely dusty bottle. He blows the dust off, and after a coughing fit, is able to see the label. It's completely in Japanese. He pops the cap, and puts it on the bar along with a chipped glass. "Will this do?"

"It shall do just fine."
Yuki goes to poke at the equipment the DJ had left behind. Part of the equipment crashes to the ground after one touch from Yuki. Yuki backs away slowly, as if nothing happened.
"I sure hope that DJ doesn't come back for this..."
She takes a seat by the bar as Sarpek pours the sake.
"Hey Sarpek, Can I ask you a question? What's your story? You know, before the kyonshi showed up?"

Sarpek leans back on his chair, and looks thoughtfully at the ceiling. "Well... I was born here in Malton, and I've lived here my whole life. Of course, I've died here as well, but what with the zombie virus being everywhere, it's come to the stage where I'm pretty much immortal. Sure, I'll die, but I'll be back to normal after an injection. But back to the topic. I was a mechanical engineer, and I worked in a factory that made small planes. Learned a lot about aircraft then. After about five years there, the outbreak started. Gets hazy after that, next good memory I have is being in this place. Of course, that was back when this was just a bar, and less like a fortress...

"Fortress...Right...I've been meaning to ask about that. What's up with the weapon cache I noticed behind the DJ's stuff?"

"Let's just say that some of the old guys were obsessed with weaponry. Extremely powerful weaponry."

"I thought most of the powerful weaponry in this city were looted and used up?"

"Exactly. Looted, brought here, stockpiled. Although, they never seemed to run out. I think the DJ had some contacts in the outside military, and Vito... Well, he's just Vito."

"Well, I've never been much of a weapons specialist, but I'm gonna go ahead and assume these weapons are far too rusted to be used. Anyway, who is this Vito you speak of?"

"Vito... Vito's hard to explain. He has connections with the Mafia, and somehow used those to get his ridiculous weapons and cars. Usually blew a big hole in the wall whenever he came in here, I think that one over there." Sarpek points to one of the walls, which is mainly reinforced concrete. "I swear, that guy couldn't drive at all. He did save us a couple of times with those big guns of his, though. That guy had an automatic shotgun. Wonders against hordes. I think that's crated upstairs somewhere, but I've sort of lost track of where everything is."

"I see."
A commotion is heard outside. Yuki pokes her head out the door. She spots a Mudkip run right by. A small group of survivors follow behind five minutes later. One of the survivors has a red ball-shaped device in his hands.
"Come on, men! I think that dastardly Mudkip went that way!"
Yuki returns to the bar and goes back to her sake.
"Don't look now, Sarpek, but I think that was Axe Hack's Mudkip that just ran by. Wonder what it did this time?"

"Honestly, I could care less. I mean, pokemon? Hm. That gives me an idea." He reaches under the bar, and pulls a large lever. With a loud thunk, a low hum fills the bar. "No shenanigans shall be had in my bar. I don't care how insane the world gets out there, but it stays normal in here."

((OOC: Axe Hack's Mudkip is a legitimate UD character. So in terms of the UD universe, Axe Hack's Mudkip is indeed a normal character. Also, Pokemon in UD might not seem normal, but by the looks of this new group called PKmon, they're normal now. )) Yuki goes over to the DJ equipment. She moves some of the rubble off the table. "Say, what's up with all these Paris Hilton CDs? I never knew this DJ was into bad music."

Sarpek leaps out of his seat. "Do NOT play those. They attract zombies. Our main use for them is tying boomboxes to cars, and then using them to lead zombies away. They also make good shurikens."
